Players have found a handy trick to make the pilot exam in Starfield's UC Vanguard questline easier - by upgrading their ship's abilities through a console.
The trick involves entering the pilot's seat, standing back up, and then accessing the console by the entrance to upgrade shield, damage output, and generate an ally ship.
