In Starfield, players can obtain all of a planet's survey data by finding randomly generated research towers, saving time compared to scanning things individually.
The trick involves accessing a computer at the top of the research tower to download the planet's survey data, but there are some random elements to it.
Results may vary for different users, with some getting only one planetary trait while others have to survey only one mineral, still saving time overall.
