Perhaps one of the most exciting quest lines players will discover relatively early into a playthrough of Starfield involves infiltrating the Crimson Fleet as part of UC SysDef. This quest kicks off when the player either works for the UC Vanguard long enough or is caught by the Vanguard for smuggling or stealing. It's an extensive quest chain that culminates in quite a bit of treasure and some pretty shocking battles.
