Baldur's Gate 3 offers animal companions that will live in your camp, once acquired.
To get the Owlbear cub as a companion, players must find its mother's cave west of Emerald Grove Environs and pass a skill check to persuade or intimidate its mother.
After encountering the Owlbear mom and cub, players need to head to the Goblin Camp, talk to Volo, and play a game called Chicken Chasin' to convince Krolla to let the Owlbear cub go with you as a companion.
